After one year at UW I embarked on a summer trip to Europe with fellow West
High chums: Carolyn, Joyce, Janet, Nancy and Sue. In France I met David and
ended up traveling with him to Corfu, Greece where we lived on the beach and
I was reborn as a human being who was in charge of her own life. In Istanbul
an opportunity was presented to go overland to India via Iran, Afghanistan,
and Pakistan and off I went. The journey was life changing for me because I
saw a vastly different world with people whose only possessions were the
clothes on their back and slept in the streets at night. I resisted
returning to the USA, in the throes of the Viet Nam conflict and studied
nursing in Wrexham, North Wales in pursuit of the simple life of helping
others.
I met my first husband there and we returned to Madison and then to Palo
Alto, CA where I worked as Administrative Manager in Silicon Valley. My son
Tristan was born at Stanford in ‘81. We returned to the UK for 6 years where
we started the Wrexham Computer Center and Sandpiper Software Ltd. My
daughter Amy was born in Chester in ‘84. We returned to the Palo Alto in
1988 and I had a stint working as Customer Service Mgr and Tech Support Mgr
for Intuit.
My 40th birthday goal was to find my Spiritual Path. This led me to Reiki. I
paid the bills working as a CFO (thank you Mr. Chester – 8th grade Algebra)
for a high-end residential landscape company until ‘96 when I founded the
Reiki Clinic in Menlo Park, CA. I pursued Reiki while my children were
completing their studies at UC Davis and UC Santa Barbara. Sailing was my
hobby for years in the bay area spending most weekends on our boat exploring
the bay, delta and coast. In 2006 my husband Don and I departed the Bay
Area, making the big left turn under the Golden Gate bridge aboard our
Passport 40 ft sloop: Sea Peace bound for Mexico and beyond. We traveled
down the Pacific coast of Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica.
Then we sailed south across the equator to Ecuador in April 07. In Southern
Ecuador we fell in love with the Andes mountains, the climate and the
people…where the meek have inherited the earth.
In Oct 07 we left Ecuador on Sea Peace heading north to Panama. We transited
the canal and went onward to explore the San Blas Islands and Cartagena,
Columbia then back to Panama. In February we returned by air to Ecuador and
purchased a small farm in Malacatos, near Loja, the 4th largest city in
Ecuador. I am now a farmer growing bananas, papayas, maiz, soya and alfalfa.
I am creating a retreat called Shamballa with 7 meditation gardens
surrounded by flowers the colors of the 7 Rays. We are at 5000 ft in the
Andes with lovely neighbors who bring us lettuce, cucumbers, chard and milk.
Our Spanish is improving and we are having quite an adventure. This Nov 08,
we will return to Panama to take Sea Peace through the Carribean to Florida.
Infinite Love and Light to you all.

| A short time after graduation I met and fell in
love with my sweetie, Pauline (Flad), a ’71 Edgewood Alumnus and we have been
married now 36+ years. I followed the career of my Father and Grandfather in the Heating &
Air Conditioning profession, working for a local contractor for many years
and then 20 years for the University of Wisconsin- Madison as a Facility
Program Manager.
We lived in Fitchburg & Brooklyn where we raised two boys, Nick & Nate
who are now 30ish, along with a variety of hamsters, lizards, fish, cats
and dogs!. In Nov ’06 we sold our home, retired from our jobs, loaded the
Harley and moved to Corona De Tucson, Arizona to live out our dreams. Life
is good!
For a hobby I create and maintain websites, if you are interested, send me an

| I'm 'writing in Roz' to say hi. After graduating
from the UW-Madison I went to work in Milwaukee for the F.W. Woolworth
Company as a trainee programmer and advanced to project manager. After 20
years I returned to Madison where I have worked as an IT consultant with
Systems Seminar Consultants.
Not being know as an athlete, I soon found a passion for racquetball and
golf. I stay involved with both as both a volunteer and player. Recently I
played in the Women's City golf tournament where I tied for 2nd in my flight
and helped out at the US Bank Golf Championship in Milwaukee as a walking
spotter for the Golf Channel. I play racquetball occassionaly now and help
with several 'Racquet for the Cure' events.
